New Directions Employee Assistance Program

For short-term counseling needs, all MPR medical plans include three free visits to a mental health professional for all covered participants through New Directions EAP. These services are confidential between you and New Directions. We urge you to call (800) 624-5544 or (816) 237-2352 for situations where you may want assistance with interpersonal difficulties, marriage and family concerns, stress management, emotional upsets, legal advice, financial matters, alcohol and drug problems or other conflicts.

The licensed EAP professionals will help resolve problems and offer any needed referrals to community and treatment resources, and they are available 24/7. Your concerns will be treated with confidentiality consistent with all state and federal mandates.

MPR health plan participants automatically get access to New Directions EAP services including three no-cost visits with a counselor and all the online resources. However, many of our Member entities take advantage of the more robust EAP program, which offers additional visits as well as employer resources such as:

  • Manager/Supervisor/HR Telephone Consultations
  • Formal Management Referrals
  • Crisis Management Services
  • EAP Orientation and Organizational Training

The EAP website is www.NDBH.com and it contains thousands of ideas and helpful resources to help you achieve a healthier outlook.
