Your Benefits Team
Midwest Public Risk (MPR) offers a comprehensive employee benefits program. Rates are highly competitive because MPR has greater purchasing power than any Member could obtain acting on its own, covering approximately 5,000 participants. Our primary objectives are to provide excellence in benefit plans, competitive rates, and superior service to our Members. Entities may choose to offer up to four MPR medical plans, dependent upon geographical location. Plan options include:
In Network Only Plans (INO) Midwest Public Risk offers participants in any INO plan access to participating providers nationwide through UMR’s UnitedHealthCare Choice Plus Network. Plan coverage is limited to participating providers in the UnitedHealthCare Choice Plus Network only.
Copay Plans Midwest Public Risk offers participants in any Copay plan access to participating providers nationwide through UMR’s United HealthCare Choice Plus Network. Coverage for these plans varies based on the place of service for care.
Qualified High Deductible Health Plans (QHDHP) (Available with a Health Savings Account or without).
Options for dental and vision coverage are also available. All our medical plans include Guidance Resources at no extra cost. Additionally, MPR provides COBRA and Retiree administration and billing, giving Members one less thing to worry about. MPR offers many value-added benefits by means of exceptional partners including a hearing aid discount program, prescription savings card program, as well as Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), short and long-term disability, and critical illness coverage.
